For New Deli, a small, authentic Indian restaurant, I developed a comprehensive corporate design that captures the essence of traditional Indian cuisine while presenting it with a contemporary flair. The design elements highlight the restaurant’s specialties – Dosas, Dal, Masala, and Mango Lassi – and emphasize its tagline, „DOSAS AND MORE.“
I started with the logo, which features a stylized „D“ inspired by the silhouette of a Dosa. This creates a unique and instantly recognizable brand mark. The combination of a playful, fresh and clean, modern typography complements the traditional motif, reflecting the fusion of authentic flavors with a fresh dining experience.
A vibrant color palette was chosen to reflect the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. Each color is associated with one of the restaurant’s specials: warm, golden tones for Dosas; rich, earthy browns for Dal; fiery reds and oranges for Masala; and bright, refreshing yellows for Mango Lassi.
I created also custom icons based on the silhouette of each specialty to visually represent „DOSAS AND MORE.“ These icons are used across various brand materials, adding a playful and informative touch.
The corporate design for New Deli combines the warmth and authenticity of traditional Indian cuisine with modern design elements, creating a memorable and inviting brand identity. This project showcases my ability to blend cultural authenticity with contemporary design, resulting in a cohesive and compelling visual identity.
