Editorial Design for Ellmis Zauberwelt

Tiny Books, Big Stories: Expanding Ellmis Zauberwelt

In continued collaboration with UND Kommunikation, I designed a series of enchanting mini storybooks and a concept activity book that deepen the narrative universe of Ellmi’s Zauberwelt. Building on the previously developed 3D characters, this project ensured consistent character design across print, merchandise, and on-site experiences.

The collection includes five minibooks chronicling Ellmi’s transformation from boy to frog, one mischievous goblin adventure featuring Ibit and Nexa, and one origin story for the wise owl Wally. Additionally, I designed a special mini-edition focused on the Pony Alm Astberg, blending real-world landmarks with fantasy storytelling. To further enrich the visitor experience, I created a concept book for Ella’s journey, packed with interactive extras: a sticker sheet, coloring page, spot-the-difference challenge, and more.

The design language reflects the whimsy, wonder, and nature-driven charm of Ellmis Zauberwelt, making the books perfect companions for young explorers. This project highlights my ability to merge editorial design, storytelling, and character consistency across formats—ensuring the magic lives on page by page.

“These mini books have given Ellmis world new life beyond the mountain. Thanks to the seamless collaboration and cohesive design, our magical characters now guide young adventurers through fun, story-rich experiences – both on-site and at home.”
