From Sketch to Layout: A Look Into My Workflow
Every great design starts with a simple line – but it’s the process that turns it into something meaningful.
Every great design starts with a simple line – but it’s the process that turns it into something meaningful.
Design doesn’t happen in a single moment of inspiration. It’s a journey: from rough ideas to structured layouts. By showing my workflow, I want to make the creative process more transparent – and demonstrate how organization fuels creativity.
Everything begins with a pen and paper. Sketching is the fastest way to capture ideas without overthinking. These sketches are messy, imperfect – but they are the foundation. They allow freedom and spontaneity.
Once I’ve captured different options, I start filtering. Which ideas fit the project goals? Which direction feels strong? At this stage, I create rough wireframes or simple digital drafts to see the bigger picture.
Now it’s about translating the chosen concept into a proper layout. Here design rules come into play: grids, typography, spacing, and balance. The sketch becomes a structured design that communicates clearly.
Design is iteration. I refine details, adjust hierarchy, and test different versions. Sometimes I even return to the sketch phase if something feels off. This back-and-forth ensures the final layout isn’t just pretty but effective.
Why does this matter? Because a workflow saves time, avoids chaos, and creates clarity – for me and for my clients. It transforms creativity from “random spark” into a reliable process that consistently delivers.
